As a result of the numerous trips that I have run over the course of 25 years I have created an impressive collection of unique and locally produced handicrafts. Bought directly from source; such as a tribal village deep in the Omo Valley of Ethiopia, a tented Bedouin encampment that scatter the empty quarter of Yemen’s vast desert, or a bustling souk that once lined the heart of Aleppo’s medina in Syria, these items each have a unique story and a special memory.
Inevitably such collections become literally too large to manage as well as create a museum appearance to a modest home and so I have decided to auction a large number of the items. Part of the proceeds will go to the children’s education charity LINK ETHIOPIA whom I had a close association with during my time in Ethiopia.
