Twenty years running a successful travel buiness operating tours to many diverse and wonderful destinations is testament to that. Political strife leading to civil war and regime change in the Middle East and Africa prompted a change in tack to safer regions of the world some closer to home as well as those more stable countries in Asia. Then came Covid and that has changed things once again, though throughout the world this time and on a scale that nobody could have imagined. So as 2023 heralds a new era for many returning to the travel industry so it does for the future of Syder Travel.
Now working in a Travel Consultancy role, he uses his extensive product knowledge in planning itineraries for individuals putting them in direct contact with the local agent and charging an introduction fee for the services provided.
He also organises two or three private group tours annually.As the group organiser he can still collect payments on behalf of the group to pay for all the services locally, and still use his client deposit account to hold funds securely prior to the trip. The main difference is that although he can no longer provide tour operator insurance, the local agency he chooses will have all the official requirements to operate inbound tours in their specific country and the necessary legal cover and insurance for the various services and transportation they use.
Personal travel insurance to cover for any claim arising from travelling continues to be a mandatory requirement to join any of his private group tours. He will need your confirmation that you are aware of this and the name and policy number of your travel insurance prior to a trip departure please. Cancellation cover should be part of the policy in order to cover against flight payments and the 50% deposit payment collected one month prior to the trip
